Dilara Harmanci (Istanbul, 1992) inherited her passion for craftsmanship from her grandmother, a self–taught artist who played a pivotal role in nurturing her creativity. Her love for ceramics was ignited by art itself, an enduring fascination that has shaped her artistic journey.
For her, the unexpected has become a milestone. The pandemic, that great global unpredictability, gave her the momentum and time needed to explore her artistic path, which materialized in 2022 with the opening of her ceramic workshop in A Coruña, where she resides. It also brought her the"happy surprise"of the birth of her daughter, Kora, which has added a new dimension to her life and creativity.
Ceramics give a pulse to Dilara's heart and imagination, and in that process, unique pieces with soul emerge, inspired by nature, life experiences, and cultural diversity. Embracing mistakes as opportunities for growth has become a guiding principle in her creative journey, infusing each piece with authenticity and character.
