Originally a painter and illustrator, Abi Castillo (Vigo, Spain 1987) outgrew the two dimensional and discovered, with ceramics, that her creative universe came voluminously to life! Abi insists that shutting herself inside her workshop, located in a village in Covelo (Galicia), makes her happy, gives her a lot of fun and fills her soul.

With an unmistakable voice, she imparts each art piece with her vital rhythm. Through her hands, through long hours, these characters metamorphose into a unique creation, with whom she is sometimes sad to part.

Beyond the prizes and awards received; to have maintained a career as an artist and artisan throughout more than a decade is for her an achievement in itself!
