Ever since she was a child, Lili Algo (Vigo, 2000) has always liked drawing and creating characters in her sketchbooks. She specialised in illustration, comics and ceramics at the Faculty of Fine Arts, where her interests took a more formal turn. Although she confesses a deep love for ceramics, Lili also feels a tremendous fascination for any methods that enable her to express her imaginary realms in tangible, three dimensional forms, and that allow her creations to take on life outside her sketchbook. Lili likes to work with irony. She uses it in combination with the naive aesthetic of the visual icons of her childhood to offer criticism in a form that she calls"cute punk"(macarrismo cuqui). An irreverent vision that she uses to challenge the triviality associated with adorable aesthetic pieces.
