Casa Atlântica
Casa Atlântica

Pedro, Lester and Belén founded Casa Atlântica in 2014 in Barcelona. Although they are designers, they always felt attracted to working with their hands, and so they began to develop basketry and ceramics projects, and launch small collections of unique and imperfect products where the imprint of the artisans' hands who made them is clear for all to see. They prioritise production in rural settings, particularly in small workshops in the small towns and villages of Galicia and Portugal, where they come from.

The sources of their inspiration are many and varied, and range from landscapes and folk art to modern 20th century design and antique craft pieces that they have collected. After collaborating with the MOMA, Loewe and the Thyssen Museum in Malaga and Madrid, among others, their aim now is to carry on experimenting with crafts techniques at their new space in Redondela (Pontevedra).
