Jorge Labandeira (Madrid, 1989) handcrafts leather goods and ceramics, engravings and paintings. With a degree in Audiovisual Communications and Advertising, he specialised in handbag design with the Fundación Loewe Master’s degree. He believes that he still lacks many years of experience and dedication to become a true craftsman.

The honesty with which he talks about his work infuses his Kitsubi pieces, which allow him to use water, earth, air and fire to create intuitive, primitive ceramics. In his workshop in A Coruña, he wants to use Kitsubi to open up unexplored paths that will lead him to discover beauty in new places, although he recognises that the key lies in the process, and in seeking truth rather than beauty.
